OK, here it is! You can finally download pVoice 2.2 beta 5 from this site again! Still a beta? Well, that depends on how you define “beta”. It’s certainly not beta quality, since this very version is what my daughter Krista has been using since before I published it years ago. It simply never crashed, except because of Windows XP failing. I haven’t yet changed anything since this version was released on November 4, 2004. However, since I’m progressing in getting a development environment set up again, you can expect me to further develop pVoice.
Hi there. I am quite interested in the program but have tried several times to install it and continue to get 404 errors. Is this a temporary situation? skuntz
Hi skuntz, when you say “404 errors”, I think you refer to an error your browser gives you when you try to download it. I don’t know why you get that. I just tried downloading myself, and I succeeded with no errors at all. The link is correct. Please mail me if the problem persists.
I had no problems with the download from the site but when I tried to install I got the file not found messages. I am stumped and that is not usually the case.
I have only been using pVoice for a little while this evening and from what I have seen so far it is exactly what I was looking for. I thought I was going to have to write an app myself to give my daughter a way to both learn and communicate better. I’d like to thank you for offering v2.2 beta 5 free of charge, and would like to say you have done a nice job w/ the software and in a simple to use interface as well. I’d like to send you a little bit of feedback if you have an e-mail address for it, and I found one minor bug that I’m not sure if you are aware of, nothing too serious though.
Thanks for the kind words Fisherman! Any feedback will be appreciated, you can mail me at jouke [at] pvoice dot org.
